Director's Message
Welcome to Boyd County Child Care Program, where your child will discover hands-on activities along with other learning opportunities. We offer programs for children six weeks to five years old in our infant/toddler room and our early preschool room. In our classrooms we focus on creativity, critical thinking and communication. We also offer after school care for those that need it at the school listed below.
Our daycare offers the opportunity to receive breakfast and lunch provided by the Early Childcare Academy at a small cost of $7.00 a day. They provide a healthy meal that includes all state requirements. This year we have a flat rate change. Infant room will be $185, and the toddler room will be $175.
Our Times have also changed we will be open from 7-5:30 PM. We are also on Boyd County School Schedule, if school is closed then our daycare is also out for those days.
We have had questions about why we need to increase rates. Our Program is 100% district operated. Meaning that we get no help financially from the school system nor the State. What we bring in weekly is what we pay our employees out of along with benefits and snacks for the kids. For the last few years our daycare program has lost money. We are not trying to generate revenue from the program. We are simply trying to break even at the end of the year.
I also have the after-school care. To be placed on the list for those areas you will need to email me at the email below. The cost for this childcare is $75 flat rate a week. The time for that childcare is from the time they leave until 5:30.
